Alt Telecom T3 closes deal to secure new UK strategic partner

Bosnian Alternative Telco partners up with UK Firm, enhancing telecom market in BiH, in Ascendant’s seventh closure in 2011

UK based telecommunication company Tactical Networks has acquired an undisclosed share in a leading alternative telecom operator in Bosnia T3. In a recent communication by Tactical Networks the company confirmed that this is part of the company’s strategy to extend into southeast Europe where they see considerable opportunities for telecommunication services . The key step in this process was to find a reliable and strong partner such as T3 which has been successful in developing an alternative telephony service to the corporate sector, and expanding its potential range of services by obtaining a wireless license. This critical milestone was achieved earlier in the year and represents a significant step forward by the Bosnian telecoms regulatory authority to evolve the market in line with other European countries.

Tactical and T3 now plan to develop a broad range of telephony services based on fixed and wireless broadband technology. This will allow them to make a highly competitive offer to the market which competes with the main players in terms of internet connectivity as well as fixed telephony services. T3 was exclusively advised on the transaction by Ascendant Capital Advisors, partners in IMAP and the leading M&A house for mid-caps in South East Europe.
