Ascendant Capital Advisors("Ascendant") is an investment bank based in Southeast Europe with operations in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia. Ascendant specializes in Mergers and Acquisition advisory services. We provide our Clients with access to investment capital as well as related financial consulting services.

IMAP and Ascendant Achievements

A key success factor is our extensive network which represents an essential interface with companies and finance looking to operate in Southeast Europe. Ascendant is a member of IMAP, the world's largest association of independent M&A advisors, uniting more than 250 professional dealmakers in 90 offices and 36 countries around the world. In 2010 we closed 181 deals around the globe with a total transaction value of $11bn. In 2010, IMAP was No 4 for deals under $50m globally and we were No 1 in Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition to IMAP’s global achievements, Ascendant was able to hit its own milestones in 2010 by being listed by Merger Market as the No1 M&A advisor in the regions of both Former Yugoslavia and Southeast Europe based on the number of deals closed.

Since its formation Ascendant has closed deals worth in excess of €350m in 19 different transactions. As the company has expanded geographically we have remained true to the core offer of M&A. In the past two years we have become the leading independent house covering the mid cap sector where typically the deal size will be from €7m-€50m. We have a deep understanding of the dominant sector s in the region including; distribution, retail, engineering, ITC, services, automotive, packaging, pharmaceuticals, food processing, clothing retail, franchising, and the construction sector.
